Basketball Recap: Sterling Takes a Loss

Sterling and Kankakee squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Sterling had to settle for second. They were dealt an 85-50 defeat at the hands of the Kankakee Kays. The Golden Warriors just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Sterling's defeat dropped their record down to 14-17. As for Kankakee, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record this season.

Sterling does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kankakee, they will take on Metamora at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Metamora knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Kankakee likes a good challenge.
