Baseball Game Preview: Campbell Hall Vikings vs. Crossroads Roadrunners

For the second straight game, Campbell Hall will face off against Crossroads. The Vikings will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Roadrunners at 3:15 p.m.

Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Campbell Hall turned things around against Crossroads on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Roadrunners by a score of 6-2.

Campbell Hall got a great performance from Jonah Smiedt as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Smiedt also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Vikings are 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-9 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ryan Fowler, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jared Page, who earned one RBI and three runs.

Crossroads' defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Campbell Hall, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.
