Centennial is 10-0 against Seguin since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Centennial Spartans will square off against the Seguin Cougars at 5:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Centennial and 13 for Seguin.

Centennial is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Mansfield Summit on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Centennial was dealt a 63-34 loss at the hands of Mansfield Summit. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 441st, while the Jaguars are ranked 47th).

Meanwhile, Seguin lost 45-25 to Everman on Friday.

Seguin's defeat dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 13-17.

Centennial took their victory against Seguin in their previous matchup on January 3rd by a conclusive 58-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Centennial since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
