Softball Recap: North Gaston Comes Up Short

North Gaston lost against South Point back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats lost 12-2 to the Red Raiders. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Gaston saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kamryn Quill, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

North Gaston's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for South Point, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5.

North Gaston will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Crest at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for South Point, they will head out to take on West Brunswick at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Red Raiders are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
