Volleyball Recap: Gwynedd Mercy Academy Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Gwynedd Mercy Academy won the last time they faced Villa Maria Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Monarchs walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Hurricanes. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Gwynedd Mercy Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 26-24, 25-13, 25-16.

Gwynedd Mercy Academy found their leader in sophomore Carolyn Walton, who had ten digs. Bridgid Johnston also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
