Basketball Recap: Jefferson County Tigers vs. North Florida Christian Eagles
After flying high against Wakulla Christian School last Tuesday, Jefferson County came back down to earth. The Jefferson County Tigers were dealt a 72-35 loss at the hands of the North Florida Christian Eagles on Friday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Jefferson County lost, don't look at Xavier Miller. Despite the final result, he posted 11 points.
It was another big night for Parker Freeland, who shot 5-for-8 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards for North Florida Christian. Freeland continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jed Dickens, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Jefferson County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for North Florida Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 8-14.
Jefferson County has already played their next matchup (against Taylor County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. North Florida Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
