Football Game Preview: River Oaks Mustangs vs. Humphreys Academy Rebels

The River Oaks Mustangs will square off against the Humphreys Academy Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

River Oaks is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They breezed past Newton County Academy to the tune of 42-12.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead River Oaks to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaden Ramer, who rushed for 81 yards and three scores, and also picked up 61 receiving yards and one TD. Andrew Robinson was another key player, rushing for 109 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: River Oaks was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 240 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Humphreys Academy is ranked highly in their home state and on Thursday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Prairie View Academy. The Rebels took their contest with ease, bagging a 40-12 win over the Spartans. The victory was familiar territory for the Rebels, who have now won five games in a row.

River Oaks' win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Humphreys Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.
