Newton Local took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Bellbrook, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Indians won by a run and slipped past the Golden Eagles 5-4. The win was nothing new for the Indians as they're now sitting on three straight.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 6-3. As for Bellbrook, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.

Newton Local and Bellbrook should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Indians (ranked 160th) will meet Troy Christian (ranked 642nd) at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Bellbrook will challenge Valley View at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (241 vs. 547).
