Baseball Game Preview: St. John Paul II Panthers vs. Aucilla Christian Warriors

St. John Paul II's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past FAMU DRS 21-0. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Wyatt Cantella was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Wyatt Visnovske, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Silas Latimer was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

St. John Paul II pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Aucilla Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
