Katie Lyn Kyle posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. She struck out 15 batters over 6.1 innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off four hits. She was dominant the last time she took on Ardmore back in March of 2024, so they probably should've seen this coming. With that strong performance, Kyle is now averaging an impressive 5.9 strikeouts per game.

Looking ahead, Kyle and West Limestone are taking a road trip to face off against Bob Jones at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Patriots thanks in part to Kyle: she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk).
