Perrysburg had won 14 straight home games dating back to last season and Ethan Gray did his part to make it 15 on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Anthony Wayne Generals with plenty of help from Gray, who had 18 digs and two assists. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more digs the last three times he's played.

Perrysburg got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 30-28, 25-21.

Perrysburg's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Anthony Wayne, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Perrysburg and Anthony Wayne should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Yellow Jackets (ranked 17th) will meet Swanton (ranked 89th) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Anthony Wayne will face off against Northwest Ohio Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (1 vs. 86).
