Softball Game Preview: Porterville Panthers vs. Golden West Trailblazers

The Porterville Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Golden West Trailblazers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Porterville fell victim to Redwood and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Rangers, falling 6-0. The Panthers have struggled against the Rangers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Mt. Whitney hit Golden West with a five-run fourth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Trailblazers lost 13-3 to the Pioneers. The Trailblazers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Hayden Oliveira made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Porterville's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Golden West, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9-1.
