Softball Recap: Timberlane Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Timberlane won against Sanborn Regional last Thursday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Owls sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Merrimack Tomahawks. The Owls haven't had any issues with the Tomahawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Audrina Cordeiro, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and two runs.

Timberlane pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Merrimack, they now have a losing record of 0-1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Timberlane will square off against rival Spaulding at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Merrimack is set to challenge their familiar foe Goffstown at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
