Basketball Game Preview: Brady Eagles vs. Maywood/Hayes Center Wolves

The Brady Eagles will take on the Maywood/Hayes Center Wolves in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brady will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 71-36, which was the final score in Brady's tilt against Twin Loup on Saturday.

Despite the loss, Brady had strong showings from Braylon Mcbride, who posted ten points, and Canin Golter, who earned six points. Those six points gave Golter a new career-high.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Maywood/Hayes Center, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Sutherland 62-20. That 42 point margin sets a new team best for the Wolves this season.

Maywood/Hayes Center pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32 points. As for Brady, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Brady was taken down by Maywood/Hayes Center 72-31 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Brady was down 48-20.
