Basketball Recap: Jemison Comes Up Short

Jemison was the 52-47 winner over Demopolis when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Jemison Panthers fell 47-36 to the Demopolis Tigers on Friday.

Jemison's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 12-5. As for Demopolis, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-13 record this season.

Jemison didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-23 defeat against Selma on the 25th. As for Demopolis, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Demopolis Tigers face off against the Hale County Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hale County will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Demopolis surely won't give up without a fight.
