Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Johnston). They blew past the Valley Tigers, posting a 78-51 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Dragons have posted since February 10, 2024.

The win (which was Johnston's third in a row) raised their record to 11-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points over those games. As for Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 14-4.

Johnston and Valley should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Iowa Rankings. Johnston (ranked 20th) will meet Jefferson (ranked 268th) at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Valley will take on Roosevelt at 7:45 p.m. on Monday up 47 places (6 vs. 53).
