Football Recap: Pe Ell/Willapa Valley Starts off Right with Win over Evergreen

Pe Ell/Willapa Valley took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They blew past the Evergreen Wolverines 41-8.

Blaine King had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 95 yards and a pair of TDs. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 62 yards.

Pe Ell/Willapa Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dylan Andrews and King. Pe Ell/Willapa Valley received some extra help from Lucas Lusk, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Looking ahead, Pe Ell/Willapa Valley will challenge Blaine at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Evergreen, they will head out on the road to square off against Highline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
