Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Z Zakarion Simpson and Q Quinton Watts Lead Laurens to Victory

Laurens won the last time they faced Woodruff and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Raiders walked away with a 57-49 victory over the Wolverines.

Laurens was led to victory by Q Quinton Watts and Z Zakarion Simpson. Watts dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten steals, while Simpson dropped a double-double with 14 points and 19 rebounds. Simpson is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last eight games he's played dating back to last season.

Laurens' record now sits at 2-5. As for Woodruff, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Woodruff didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 79-68 win against Chesnee on the 5th. Hopefully Laurens paid attention to the Wolverines' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
