Basketball Recap: Notus Pirates vs. Compass Charter Aviators
Notus gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Compass Charter Aviators by a score of 63-53. The Pirates have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Aviators, too.
Luis Vargas was nothing short of spectacular: he went 9 for 17 en route to 24 points plus six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Cudaback, who went 5 for 11 en route to 13 points plus five rebounds and three steals.
Notus is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they take on Jordan Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Compass Charter, they will challenge Riverstone International at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Compass Charter will come in still looking for their first win of the season.
