Softball Recap: Hatboro-Horsham Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Hatboro-Horsham's offense. They fell just short of the Upper Dublin Cardinals by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The Hatters were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Kennedy Conn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hatboro-Horsham saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Karpovich, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Hatboro-Horsham's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Upper Dublin, the win keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hatboro-Horsham is set to challenge their familiar foe Wissahickon at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Upper Dublin will square off against rival Springfield Township at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
