Preview: Clearview Clippers vs. Keystone Wildcats
The Clearview Clippers will head out on the road to face off against the Keystone Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Clearview is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
On Monday, Clearview didn't have too much trouble with Open Door Christian at home as they won 45-27.
Meanwhile, Keystone put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Padua Franciscan by a score of 47-36. Given Keystone's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Padua Franciscan is ranked 572nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Brooklyn Barber, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. The match was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. Helayna Houston was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Clearview's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Keystone, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.
Clearview was dealt a bruising 57-27 loss at the hands of Keystone in their previous matchup back in February. Thankfully for Clearview, Delaney Peters (who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and five steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
