Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Roosevelt couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Palisade Bulldogs on Saturday. The Roughriders' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Roosevelt still got an impressive performance from Noah Lucero, who picked up 105 receiving yards and two TDs. Milo Pascual handled things on the ground, rushing for 107 yards.

Roosevelt's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Palisade, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Roosevelt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Palisade, they will challenge Pomona at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Panthers' defense has only allowed 12.8 points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
