Basketball Game Preview: UME Preparatory Academy EAGLES vs. North Hills Prep

UME Preparatory Academy hasn't had much luck against North Hills Prep recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The EAGLES will be playing in front of their home fans against North Hills Prep at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Tuesday, UME Preparatory Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 73-67 to Mercy Prep Academy. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (66), the EAGLES still had to take the loss.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Levi Dawkins, who shot 46% from the field to rack up 16 points. He also posted a block, marking his first of the season. Micah Hyman was another key player, putting up nine points along with six boards and three steals.

Meanwhile, North Hills Prep played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 78-58 to Covenant.

UME Preparatory Academy now has a losing record of 4-5. As for North Hills Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Things could have been worse for UME Preparatory Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 67-50 loss to North Hills Prep in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can the EAGLES avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
