Basketball Recap: Batavia Takes a Loss

Batavia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 41-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 217th, while the Tigers are ranked 79th).

Batavia's loss dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, they have been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 18 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

Looking ahead, Batavia will square off against Glenbard North at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 69-25 win against Thornton Fractional South on the 15th.
