Baseball Game Preview: Eagle Pass Eagles vs. Alexander Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Eagle Pass will face off against Alexander. The Eagles will face off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Eagle Pass' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Alexander's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Eagle Pass easily dispatched Laredo LBJ on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Eagles fell just short of Alexander by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Alexander has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Eagle Pass, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 12-8-1.
