Volleyball Recap: Continental Wins Going Away Against Gorham Fayette

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Patrick Henry, Continental was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Gorham Fayette Eagles. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Continental walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-9, 25-21.

Among those leading the charge was Brystol Fitzwater, who had four digs and three aces.

Fitzwater wasn't the only good server: Continental was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

The win got Continental back to even at 1-1. As for Gorham Fayette, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Continental will host Lincolnview at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Gorham Fayette, they will head out to challenge Pettisville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
