Softball Recap: Louisburg Drops Season-High Score on Durham School of the Arts

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Louisburg). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs a 20-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Savannah Norris was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Shayna Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.

Louisburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .759. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Louisburg now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Durham School of the Arts, they dropped their record down to 0-18 with the loss, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Louisburg will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
