Football Recap: Lake Buena Vista Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lake Buena Vista fell victim to Windermere and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Wolverines 36-0. While losing is never fun, the Vipers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 410th, while the Wolverines are ranked 163rd).

Thomas Restrepo threw for 95 yards on eight of 20 attempts. Roderick Castro was his top target, picking up 70 receiving yards. On the ground, James Yauger rushed for 86 yards.

Jaylen Davis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Windermere, rushing for 64 yards and two TDs on only nine carries, while also picking up 61 receiving yards and a pair of scores. The dominant performance also gave Davis a new career-high in receiving touchdowns (two).

This is the second loss in a row for Lake Buena Vista and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Windermere, their record is now 6-0.

Lake Buena Vista and Windermere will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Vipers see the field they'll take on Lake Weir at 7:30 p.m. on October 10. As for Windermere, their break will end when they face Oak Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
