Basketball Recap: Forest Hills Comes Up Short

After flying high against Central Academy last Friday, Forest Hills came back down to earth. The Forest Hills Yellow Jackets took a 60-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cuthbertson Cavaliers on Monday. The game was a 28-28 toss-up at halftime, but the Yellow Jackets couldn't quite close it out.

When it comes to explaining why Forest Hills lost, don't look at K.J Chambers. Despite the final result, he went 6 for 8 on his way to 15 points and eight rebounds. The matchup was Chambers' third in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Huntley, who posted 11 points.

Forest Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Cuthbertson, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.

Forest Hills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 74-48 loss against Anson on the 11th. As for Cuthbertson, they will face off against Marvin Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Marvin Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59 points per game this season.
