Baseball Recap: Greenville Falls Short of Lafayette in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Greenville can now relate to. They came up short against the Lafayette Commodores on Saturday, falling 15-3. The Hornets haven't had much luck with the Commodores recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Greenville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaleb Titus, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.

Greenville's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Lafayette, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

While Greenville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
