Basketball Recap: Bethel Falls Short Against Ranked Barrow

On Saturday, Bethel faced Barrow in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Bethel Warriors were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 60-59 to the Barrow Whalers. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Whalers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 73-53 loss last Thursday.

Barrow found their leader in sophomore Alex Fruean, who posted 27 points. The game was Fruean's tenth in a row with at least 16 points. Jaziah Tivao was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Bethel is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-10. As for Barrow, their victory bumped their record up to 16-10.

As of now, neither Bethel nor Barrow have any future games scheduled.
