Recap: Daviess County Panthers vs. McCracken County Mustangs
After flying high against the Apollo Eagles on Friday, the Daviess County Panthers came back down to earth. Daviess County took a 67-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of McCracken County on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Daviess County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zoey Beehn, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Hoagland, who scored 14 points.
Daviess County's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for McCracken County, they pushed their record up to 19-4 with that victory, which was their 25th straight at home dating back to last season.
Daviess County will take on Greenwood at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for McCracken County, they will head out on the road to square off against Murray at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
