Volleyball Recap: Fayetteville Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Fayetteville duked it out with Brazos on Saturday. The Lions took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Fayetteville's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Brazos, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-9.

Fayetteville will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Manor New Tech at 6:00 p.m. on September 2. As for Brazos, they will host Bellville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
