Football Recap: Lewisville Piles Up the Points Against Flower Mound + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lewisville). They claimed a resounding 49-7 victory over the Flower Mound Jaguars. The win continues a trend for the Farmers in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won six in a row.

It was another big night for Tre Williams, who threw for 252 yards and five touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 19 passing touchdowns on the season. Tenel Hill was another key player, rushing for 68 yards and one score on only five carries.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 17 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Derrick 'Dj' Martin Iii, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a punt return touchdown from Deuce Mathis Ii.

Lewisville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Taelyn Mayo and Aiden Evans. Javar Curington was another major factor on D, picking up two sacks, making four total tackles (3.0 for loss), and defending one pass.

Lewisville's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Flower Mound, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lewisville will face off against rival Coppell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Williams and Carter Zingelmann. Meanwhile, Flower Mound is set to square off against their familiar foe Braswell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
