Recap: Harrison Goblins vs. Lakeside Rams
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Harrison Goblins, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. The game between Harrison and Lakeside wasn't particularly close, with Harrison falling 58-42. Harrison's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
When it comes to explaining why Harrison lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Braden Long. Despite the final result, he rushed for 249 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. Long is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last nine games he's played. Eli Mcnutt was another major influence, as he rushed for 135 yards and ran in a TD.
Lakeside got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kyler Wolf out in front who picked up 256 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Grady Ohman also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Harrison's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Lakeside, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Harrison does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lakeside will square off against Pine Bluff at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arkansas (Pine Bluff is ranked 25th, while Lakeside is ranked 18th).
