Softball Recap: Hannah-Pamplico Finds Playoff Glory Versus Johnsonville

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Hannah-Pamplico walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Johnsonville Flashes 3-1. The victory was familiar territory for the Raiders, who have now won five contests in a row.

Kadence Poston spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Payten Poston and Jadan Lee did most of the damage at the plate: Payten went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double, while Lee went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Meredith Stone, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Hannah-Pamplico's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Johnsonville, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Hannah-Pamplico has already played their next match, a 12-1 win against Lake View on the 16th. Johnsonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
