If Cuba was feeling good fresh off their 30-6 takedown of Herculaneum last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cuba Wildcats took a 27-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Pius X Lancers on Friday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Lancers recently, as their game on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Cuba lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jesse Elrod, who threw for 250 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 59 yards. Landen Hunter was Elrod's top target, picking up 92 receiving yards and a touchdown.

As for St. Pius X, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Vashon/Miller Career Academy at 7:00 p.m. St. Pius X will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak dating back to last season alive.
