Basketball Recap: Grace Academy Comes Up Short

Grace Academy played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 69-43 to the Sound Christian Lions. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Sound Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makai Resseau, who went 9 of 19 on his way to 23 points. Resseau is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kona Resseau, who went 8 of 13 on his way to 18 points along with eight assists and seven boards.

Grace Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Sound Christian, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.

Grace Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-38 victory against Shoreline Christian on the 7th. Sound Christian has also already played their next game, an 80-25 win against Pope John Paul II on the 6th.
