Football Game Preview: East Valley Red Devils vs. Burlington-Edison Tigers + Official Tickets

The East Valley Red Devils will face off against the Burlington-Edison Tigers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Burlington-Edison's offense is going to have their work cut out for them on Saturday: East Valley hadn't allowed a single point the last three times they've hit the field. The Red Devils simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Rogers 56-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Red Devils' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Pirates are ranked 130th).

East Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaxon Berg, who threw for 260 yards and four touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Berg a new career-high in passer rating (166.7). Cody Gasseling was another key player, gaining 105 total yards and two touchdowns.

East Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jayden Buckalew and Gasseling.

Meanwhile, after only seven points in their last contest, Burlington-Edison made sure to put some points up on the board against North Kitsap on Friday. The Tigers took their game with ease, bagging a 41-0 win over the Vikings. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Tigers' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

East Valley's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Burlington-Edison, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
