Basketball Recap: Highland Comes Up Short

Highland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 56-42 bruising from the Pocatello Thunder. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-49 back in December of 2024.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Pocatello, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highland will take on Madison at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Madison will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Highland surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pocatello, they will square off against Century at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Century knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Pocatello likes a good challenge.
