Sheldon extended their home winning streak to 12 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Teyjaun Carter. The Sheldon Huskies walked away with a 64-51 victory over the Laguna Creek Cardinals on Friday thanks in part to Carter, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 14 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Those six assists gave him a new career-high.

Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaylan Virgil, who went 7 of 14 en route to 21 points. Jordan Boyce was another key player, going 7 for 13 on his way to 16 points and three steals.

Sheldon's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Laguna Creek, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Sheldon has already played their next game, a 61-42 victory against Elk Grove on the 27th. As for Laguna Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 70-49 defeat against Franklin on the 27th.
