Volleyball Recap: Hialeah-Miami Lakes Comes Up Short

Hialeah-Miami Lakes managed to slip by Reagan the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Trojans came up short against the Bison on Monday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Trojans have suffered since March 12th.

While Hialeah-Miami Lakes ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-18, 25-20.

Reagan can attribute much of their success to Santiago Mejia, who had ten digs and four aces. That's the most aces Mejia has posted since back in March.

Hialeah-Miami Lakes' defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5. As for Reagan, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.

Coming up, Hialeah-Miami Lakes will be playing in front of their home fans against Goleman at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Reagan, they will head out on the road to challenge Columbus at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Explorers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Bison surely won't give up without a fight.
