Soccer Game Preview: Valor Christian vs. Chaparral

The Valor Christian Eagles will challenge the Chaparral Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Valor Christian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Columbine, who was ranked 14th at the time (Valor Christian was ranked tenth). The Eagles fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. Valor Christian's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Their goal came courtesy of Ella Ashouri, who's now up to nine this season.

Meanwhile, Chaparral kept a clean sheet against Legend on Friday. They came out on top against the Titans by a score of 2-0. Isabelle Schroder had to tread lightly for part of the match after she was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Chaparral got from the refs.

Valor Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-3-2. As for Chaparral, their win bumped their record up to 8-5-2.

Valor Christian beat Chaparral by a goal in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, winning 1-0. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
