It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Union Local can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Adena Warriors on Thursday. The Jets' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Union Local was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Adena work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-17, 22-25, 25-16.

Ameera Saunders paced Union Local's offense, picking up 26 kills. Saunders got some help from Delaney Butler and her 44 assists. Finally, Saunders was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Adena was led to victory by Kimmy Dalton and Kortney Sowers. Dalton had 27 digs and one assist, while Sowers had 16 digs and two aces. What's more, Sowers racked up 24 assists, the most she's had since October 7th.

Union Local's loss dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Adena, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-1.

Union Local does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Adena, they will face off against New Lexington at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
