Baseball Recap: Auburndale Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Auburndale can now relate to. They came up short against the Winter Springs Bears on Wednesday, falling 10-0.

Auburndale saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke (Jonathan) Slagel, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Auburndale's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-18. As for Winter Springs, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-4.

While Auburndale had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
