Basketball Recap: Lincolnton Takes a Loss

After flying high against West Lincoln last Thursday, Lincolnton came back down to earth. The Lincolnton Wolves lost 71-50 to the Bandys Trojans on Monday. The Wolves have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Lincolnton's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Bandys, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Lincolnton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bandys, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against East Burke at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Burke knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 contests -- so hopefully Bandys likes a good challenge.
