Football Recap: Milano Eagles vs. Iola Bulldogs
Milano was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Iola Bulldogs, falling 53-6. The Eagles lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 35-14 score last time.
Ayden Fernandez threw for 95 yards and one TD. Jesus Reyes was his top target, picking up 60 receiving yards.
Milano's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Iola, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Milano will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Granger at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Iola, they have already played their next game, a 50-33 victory against Somerville on the 3rd.
