Basketball Recap: San Diego Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

San Diego won the last time they faced Lincoln, and Isaiah Marte did his part to make sure it happened again. The San Diego Cavers took down the Lincoln Hornets 63-47 on Tuesday thanks in part to Marte, who went 9 for 14 en route to 24 points and six rebounds. He has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last 17 times he's played.

Isaac Webb was another key player, putting up three points and three steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in December of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for San Diego and bumps their season record up to 20-4. As for Lincoln, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-16.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Diego will face off against Hoover at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln, they will square off against Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Lincoln likes a good challenge.
