Ashe County won the last time they faced North Wilkes and Bryce Peters did his part to make sure it happened again. The Huskies snuck past the Vikings with a 33-28 win on Friday with plenty of help from Peters, who rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 212 yards and a pair of TDs. He has become a key player for Ashe County: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise.

The victory made it two in a row for Ashe County and bumps their season record up to 3-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.5 points over those games. As for North Wilkes, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Ashe County will square off against Wilkes Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Wilkes, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Elkin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will be up against the Buckin' Elks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
