Volleyball Recap: Mt. Vernon's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Mt. Vernon entered their tilt with Red Oak on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They fell 2-0 to the Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2019.

Mt. Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Red Oak, their win bumped their record up to 15-1.

Looking ahead, Mt. Vernon will venture away from home to take on Center Point-Urbana at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Red Oak, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Lincoln on the 20th.
